Polyvinyl butyral (resin powder)
Polyvinyl butyral resin (PVB) is a macromolecular polymer made from polyvinyl alcohol and n-butanal by condensation reaction under the action of catalyst. This is a synthetic resin with a broad development and application prospect. According to the relative molecular weight, PVB resin can be classified into two types: the high-viscosity type and low-viscosity type. The high-viscosity PVB resin is mainly used for producing the intermediate film of safety sandwich glass, while low-viscosity PVB resin that can exist in the form of macromolecular solution is widely applied to fields such as coating, adhesive, ceramic film stained paper, electrical appliance material, FRP products, textile treatment agent, engineering plastic, etc.

PVB film made by plasticizing PVB resin and plasticizer 3GO is mainly used as the interlayer material of safety sandwich glass. It is characterized by high transparency, excellent light resistance, heat insulation, cold endurance, water resistance, film-forming property and impact resistance performance. Sandwich glass made of PVB film can absorb impact energy and prevent fragments. This sandwich glass characterized by excellent safety performance, extraordinary sound isolation, heat insulation, thermal preservation and vibration prevention is widely applied to fields such as automobile, construction, bullet resistance, PV, etc.
