Glass is a common building material, and its quality level can usually be divided into three levels: first, second and third.
The first grade glass is a quality grade glass with excellent transparency and uniform thickness. It has undergone a rigorous production process to ensure a high surface finish, no bubbles and defects, and has excellent physical and mechanical properties. Grade 1 glass is usually widely used in high-end construction and decoration fields, and is favored for its high quality and excellent visual effects.
Secondary glass is a medium quality grade choice. It is slightly inferior to first-class glass in terms of transparency and uniformity, but still has high quality and reliability. Secondary glass is often used in general construction projects, such as residential and commercial premises, can meet most of the needs of use, is a cost-effective choice.
Grade 3 glass is an option for lower quality grades. It is generally inferior to primary and secondary glass in terms of transparency, thickness uniformity, and physical and mechanical properties. Grade III glass is mostly used for some temporary or less economical construction projects, such as site enclosure or temporary shading facilities.
The quality level of glass determines its scope of use and performance in buildings. Choosing the right quality level can ensure that the glass plays an important role in the construction.
